Managing pain is important to allow our greatest ability for our family to flourish and experience more happiness and love in our lives. Finding long term sustainable changes in our health and comfort levels is crucial, and involves lowering the danger of chronic disease, often associated with pain. As up to 80% of these diseases can be prevented, managed and even reversed, changes to our Lifestyle can make significant differences to our health and experience of pain.
Dr. Jeremy Hawke (Podiatrist) is a certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner by The Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. He has studied with The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and was entered into the ACLM after passing rigorous examination requirements by The International Board of Lifestyle Medicine (IBLM), the global organization standing for Doctors, Medical specialists, physician practitioners and University professors/educators and Public Health specialists.
Jeremy will approach your family’s health and pain management with the availability of Lifestyle Medicine screening and assessment by appointment. New patients are all routinely screened for some basic lifestyle medicine questions on their initial visit to us. Whether your pain is biomechanically related, vascular or neurological, or chronic disease related, treatment and management plans can be arranged for the short, medium and longer term.
Telemedicine visits are available for patients unable to attend our surgery. Telemedicine is also available for interstate and overseas patients by request. Areas that may be influencing your pain can, but are not limited to Diet and nutrition, exercise and activity, emotional and mental well-being, sleep health, Tobacco use or risky alcohol use, and lack of social connectedness.
We look forward to being part of your health care team and welcome any enquiries that you may like to make, including any questions relating to your expectations and long-term health concerns, where they are connected to you wishing to begin a Lifestyle Medicine based treatment program.
